Devotees in Santo Domingo, the capital of Caribbean island nation the Dominican Republic, have launched a fundraising campaign to build a new temple for Sri Sri Gaura Nitai. ISKCON was established in the Dominican Republic nearly 50 years ago.
In a country of 10.5 million people and 40 universities, the International Society for Krishna Consciousness (ISKCON) Dominican Republic has surely been making its mark, getting the spiritual wisdom and teachings of Krishna-bhakti into the top libraries in the country.
For the past twenty-five years, ISKCON Youth Ministry’s Manorama Das and his wife Jaya Sri Radhe Dasi have taken youth on tours across the US, Canada and Mexico, where they spread Krishna consciousness and get inspired themselves in the process. Since 2015, they’ve branched out to tour the Caribbean every two years.
Since 1995, devotee youth headed by ISKCON Youth Ministry’s Manorama Das and his wife Jaya Sri Radhe Dasi have traveled all over the US and Canada every summer – and Mexico every winter. On each trip, they spread Krishna consciousness and get inspired themselves in the process.
